stock tire replacement...brands
Hey folks,
I know most people come on here looking to upsize their tires - I'm looking to simply replace my stock size of 26570R17. I have a 2001 F150 with Bridgestone Dueler ATs, that have been a great tire, around 60k, and wore even as could be.
I could put the same tire on, but the best quote I can find is a little over $800. I'm looking to hear suggestions for other quality tires that may be a little less expensive in my stock size of 26570R17.
Mostly highway driving, NE Wisconsin/Upper MI area (snow/rain) & some camp road driving during hunting season.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I also have had Exceptional good luck with Bridgestone tires, 85,000 on one set on a different truck. I just put Michelin LTX AT2's on my '02 King Ranch, but I wanted to go with a tire that was going to last a while, as I don't plan on getting rid of this truck. They have a 70,000 mile warranty on them. On the other hand, they were more expensive than what you want to spend.
My neighbor just put General A/T's on his Lincoln Mark LT that he said were cheaper than anything else he could have purchased. He got them thru TireRack.com, and his is a "specialty" size, with an 18" wheel. They are a good looking tire, and have an "All-Terrain" tread similar to BF Goodrich AT's. So far, he has been very pleased with those tires.
Just another one to consider.

I also installed Michelin LTX AT2's after reading reviews of 80,000 plus miles.....
so even though you're looking to buy something cheaper, the MICHELINS are actually more "cost" effective per mile, and you can't buy a better "ride" OR "serviceability" than MICHELIN.........They also made your BRIDGESTONES!
Just my personal experience of buying tires the last 50 years...

I have 16's on my F150, 03' XLT S-Cab.
I recently picked up some Goodyear Wrangler RT/S 10-ply for $410 shipped.
245-75-16's
Found the tires here...
onlinetires.com
($80 a tire)
Treadepot.com matched the tire price, and charged me $50 less to ship.
Maybe onlinetires.com has something similar for you.
Check them out.
I've found hunting the internet for a few hours can literally save you hundreds of dollars.
