FX4 Scorpion 275/55/20

Hey guys. My first time posting here. I bought my f150 used and the tires in the front seem to be a bit beaten and curb rashed. They are Scorpion ATR, size listed in title. Anyway. If I replace the two that are in rough shape im looking at having to stick with the same tires. So i was thinking of buying a set of 4. Heres my questions.

1. Do I have to stick with that size on my 20"Rims? I really dont like the Low-profile look. What size would you recommend to give my tires some height that wont hurt my MPG's too much?

2. I found some FX4 rims for sale. They are take offs. Brand new with Brand new tires mounted on them. They are for sale for 800. If I bought them would it make my F150 look weak?

3. What tires would you recommend for GOOD Highway driving but a slightly aggressive tread pattern for snowy weather.

Thanks for any help you can give.

The OEM Pirelli's are a pretty bad tire. I'd replace all for for sure. Just about anything will be better. I'd suggest a 33 inch (285/55-20 or 305/55-20) BFG AT KO, Nitto Terra Grappler, Pro COmp Xtreme AT, Mickey THompson ATZ or **** Cepek FC II.

I replaced my Pirelli's with a set of Toyo Open Country A/T's (305/55-20). They're fantastic, night and day compared to the Scorpions. Be prepared to shell out almost $1400 on them though.

I agree....I have the Toyo Open Country AT and LOVE them! My advice is see if you can find some locally on Kijiji or Craiglist or some thing like that. I got a set of 4 with 90% left for $100.00 per tire. Deals are out there if you Look!
