Change it out now!!

That i belive is the Famous cruise controll disconnect switch. That is the subject of a recall, so you may want to go get it checked out immediately. this part has been known to be the cause of many fires in Ford Vehicles.
I found the same thing a couple of months ago after the cruise controll stopped working. changed it out myself. new part costs $21 and some change. comes with a new harness, and new pressure switch.

link for recall

Here's a link http://www.ford.com/owner-services/c...ll-information
If that is the only place the your brake fluid is leaking then yes, the brake fluid will stop leakin.

sorry but i wont take my truck to the dealer for any kind of service including body work. i have a shop i trust and have been going to for everything on my car that most would go to a dealer for. i dont pay as much and get great service and i know im not getting screwed. plus they will know about any recall that ford may give out.

i take care of my stuff buddy, i will not take my truck to ford to get charged out the wazoo, i do my own work. idk if you read anything or not but "a few days ago" means not to long ago, i just found out about this problem. i work at a quick lube so i do my own inspections and oil changes. and i may not even wast 20 miles to go drive to get it fixed, i may just get the part myself and do it,

it is the cause of the infamous recall. That switch will start a fire at any time! The voltage sent to thet switch plus brake fluid could ignite while you are sleeping. Unplug the wiring too it now. Dont pass go dont collect 200. The recall is a fusible link to prevent the truck from burning to the ground. Replacing the switch does not guarantee your truck not burning to the ground.

Im the same way about my rides. I dont let anyone touch anything on my trucks. All the recall does is clip into that harness. 5 minutes, yoiu can watch eem do it. Good luck. Go outside and unplug that switch, I have seen some nasty pics of truck fires caused by the switch.

Picture of the reults. The wire has a conatant 12 volt that is not fused. Most cases the truck catches fire while it is parked and turned off.

so while i was out there i got to lookin, do they just splice the wire and put n new plug on and change that part in the mastercylinder? or do they replace the WHOLE harness with the MAF plug and air temp sensor

so, replacing it WONT guarantee it not bursting up in flames, really?
