305/65/18 without a leveling kit??

Sooo, i just got an AS 2" leveling kit and some new BFG AT's in 305/65/18. Well today i put the leveling kit on and was supposed to get it aligned and the new tires mounted tomorrow. Problem is wife and I both drive the truck as she is only 5' tall. WELL she does NOT like the new leveled look or the fact that she can't see over the bug shield, so i'm taking the kit off tonight. Can i still fit those tires??? I do zero offroading with this truck. its a 04 4x4 screw lariat. please let me know???? I'm ok if i just have to trim the lower front valance but have no clue if they'll fit.

thank you
mike

Not only will the tires NOT fit without the kit, but also those size tires will raise the truck a good 2" higher off the ground so most likely your wife won't be happy with that either.. My neighbor has those tires on his and he tried without a leveling kit and it did NOT work. He added the leveling kit alone for two days, then had the tires mounted on his new wheels and the tires added a good 2-3" of height from the ground. Looks sweet!

I'm still trying to get him to sell me those tires because I've been looking to pick that size up years for two , lol! SO if you want get rid of them, let me know, lol!

Man that's a tough one. What about lifting the back to add the rake back to get the front end back down (remove bug guard if need be) and add some nerf bars or some sort of steps to help her to get in and out, that way its a win for both you and her. Truck goes up, new tires fit, wife can get in and out and see to drive. Good luck.

I think the tres will fit if you use the OEM wheels. However, I don't think 2 inches is gonna be enough difference in the height of your truck to matter. I'd suggest buying a set of nerf bars so your wife can climb in easier.
