sorry for the cap locks on the title, im usually not like the idiots who put it in caps locks but im also usually not this happy!

so i had been talking about getting some bfg all terrains for a while now on my 98 2wd and it finally happened. i love them. and now for the pics:

and a few of me towing my friend's car to the shop the day after i got the tires:







he had an intake manifold gasket leak and thought we could do it ourselves. boy were we wrong. the truck did good towing it considering it is a 11 year old truck. i would not want to do it again though.

my three biggest complaints about the new tires are: 1. loss of power, 2. loss of braking power, 3. there is some slight rubbing when at full lock. #1 will be addressed at christmas when i get some new gears (more yay! ) im either getting some 4.30's (ideal, but expensive) or some 4.56's (i want them, but dont want the loss of gas mileage on the highway they bring). #2 im not sure how to address. i will be changing my brake fluid and eventually getting new pads (i've got a set of summit racing brand drilled and slotted rotors, dont like 'em cus the chew through pads, and some semi-metallic pads on there now and an extra set of semi-metallic pads at home now so i wont be changing them anytime soon). i might also get ss braided brake lines sometime. if anyone has any other CHEAP solutions to increase braking power, just tell me. otherwise i can live with it. #3 will be addressed with a sawzall soon.

looks good. do they rub? and, no offense, but why on a 2wd?

 

they do rub a little bit at full lock sometimes. and the reason is because i have a 2wd now that only has 85,000 miles on it and i cant afford to buy a new one and i dont want to trade it for a 4wd. i do 99% highway driving but im an eagle scout and i firmly believe in being prepared. plus i love the look of the tires.

 

my offroading consist of muddy dirtroads and hunting property
NEED: 35 inch toyo mud terrains no, but the WANT factor is a strong thing haha truck looks good buddy, and that feeling of getting new tires and getting it on the road for the first time is awesome.

Hmm.. wheel wells are too stuffed... I dislike it, sorry for the honesty but they must grip well.
