new wheels and tires

hey this is my first post and have some questions... i have a dark blue 07 f150 reg cab xl 2wd.

1) im gunna take off my stock 235\70r17 and get some black 20's. im not sure on what wheels to get. i know i want them to be a glossy black, with little to no chrome on them around the $200 price range. any ideas? ive looked around and havent seen anything around that price range in all black.

2) i also want the wheels and tires to stick out from the side of the truck a little. i know this is determined by the backspacing and offset, but thats as much as i know. any info?

3) ive been looking at getting these wheels. would they stick out from my truck at all? either 275\55r20 or 285\50r20 tires. most likely the 285's tho. the size is 20x9 6-135 35gbm...assuming 35 is the offset?

I assume you want a "street truck" look judging from the wheels and the tire sizes you listed. I'd go with a 9 inch wheel and about 6 inches of backspacing. Most people want their street tires to tuck in, not stick out. That is why street styled wheels have more BS than off road style wheels.

well i dont necessarily want a street truck. im definitely not going to lower it. i just want an aggressive look but i dont want an off-road look either. i want to get gloss black wheels in or around the $200 range. any advice? i was thinking possibly american racing trench wheels but then again those have a positive offset.

You gotta make a decision on the overall look of your truck. Basically your options are street or off road. If you start miss matching stuff you could easily wind up with a truck that looks like someone randomly threw aftermarket parts at.

in that sense, a street truck is more towards what i am looking for. i plan on keeping the stock height ( no lowering or lifting), but getting all glossy black 20" wheels. anyone have any ideas on all black ( glossy, not flat or matte) 20" wheels? i need to keep it AROUND a $200 cap per wheel. give or take $30 bucks. anything is helpful, thanks

I'd suggest a 305/50-20 or a 305/40-22 tire and wheel package. Both sizes are approximately 32x12.50 tires and will fill in the wheelwell and create that "lowered look" without actually lowering the truck.
