$180, free shipping, free semi metallic pads. Dimpled and slotted, zinc coated... I'll install them later this week perhaps...

I put a set of these on teh font of my neighbors Kia Sorento, after the originals warped twice in less than 30,000 miles. He has about 25K on them now and they are holding up well. Pads are about shot, but no vibration or signs of warpage.

How long was it between placing the order and getting them at your door? Also, did they send you a confirmation/tracking email? I'm thinking about buying some but I only have a little time off right now and I don't want to get them in later than I have time to install them.

My neighbor actually ordered, so I am not 100 percent sure. I believe it took about a 7 working days, and he did get a tracking number. Installation was the same as replacing stock. It took me all of 45 minutes start to finish. Of course I have put brakes on all my families vehicles, not to mention most of teh neighbors, and have the process down.

I was considering these rotors, but apparently they use steel instead of iron in their composition. Iron is a better material in terms of heat dissapation which is important in heavy braking scenarios to reduce fade. that said, i'm considering either Powerslots or Stoptech's oem replacements, but i'm waiting to hear back from Centric as to what material they use.

Who makes these pads for these guys?
I see them referenced on here a lot lately but does anyone have some serious milage on them, that could speak on to how they stand up over time?

Big Slick let me know what you find out on Centric.

i emailed them and the rep that contacted me said that they use OE metallurgy specs on their replacement rotors, but hasn't followed up with my request for what exactly OE rotors are made of. at modbargains, powerslot/stoptech is just a little more than brakeperformance in price, but you don't get "free" pads. doesn't bother me, i'll gladly pay a little more for something like brakes.

brake performance rotors are life time warrantied for warping, haven't seen any others with that claim. I have this set-up on my front end. So far so good, but only been low miles on them so far.

they can make that claim because the rotors are steel which is more dimensionally stable than iron. of course, steel does not dissapate heat as well as iron so you increase the likely hood of brake fade under severe braking conditions.

I drove for a good 5,000 with both front calipers not working. To me these are like god given loyalty, lol!!
Anyway brakes are brakes IMO, only on a race car would anyone really see any difference.

Look OK, just be warned the dimpling is for looks only, and does not increase the braking ability of the rotor.
