Smile New wheels and tires.

Hi, I am new to the forum. I have a 2004 F150 4X4 regular cab that I just bought a couple of months ago. I got rid of a couple of older Fords 88 F150 and 93 SHO. They were good vehicles, but boy does the newer F150 ride and drive good. I bought the 88 F150 new 21 years ago and I did not know the difference in the two trucks. My 2004 has 17 inch tires and wheels which I knew would be needing changing. I shopped around for tires and started looking at Craigslist also. I found a set of factory take offs from a 2009 Lariat with 2300 miles on them. The tires are Michelin 255 65R 17 LTX AS . The wheels are the factory aluminum mags. I bought wheels and tires for $650. They are so smooth I hardly know I'm driving a pickup. The guy I bought them from just bought a truck and wanted to upgrade. I guess I upgraded too from the gray steel wheels that came on the truck from the factory. I don't off road so I hope I made a wise choice. I enjoy readying the forum posts and have learned a lot .
Thanks,
Jim

If the weather gets decent enough to clean it up I will. It has been nasty and really cool here in Western NC.

Welcome to the site. you'll find this forum invaluable - the more you put in the more you get from it. Like you I initially upgraded from my stock 18s on my 06 Lariat to 20's - wheels from ebay and tires from here. I've since added mods like a cold air intake, custom badges, grilles, exhausts, and most especially switched my pedals to the power adjustable type with help from a forum member. Enjoy!
