Opinions Anyone?

I have an 04 FX4 Crew Cab which is level 2" and currently sitting on stock rims with 305/65/18 BFG's. I am considering getting rid of this set up and upgrading to 20's wrapped in 34's. I really want to get some new wheels. So, should i keep the setup i have right now and buy some new 18's to put with these 305's? or should i look into purchasing some 20's (i would need tires with these as well)

also, my truck is the dark blue, any suggestions as to what rims would look good?

i am kind of new to this forum, any input is appreciated.

thanks,JB

stick with the 18s and your current tire. I think 18s are the best looking size of wheel on a 4X4 plus you lose less performance and tires are exponentially cheaper (funny how you pay way more for less rubber). I personally think 20s look ridiculous but thats just my two cents. I think 18s and 33s on a your model of truck leveled is the best looking set up.

As for which rims to go with, are you looking for black rims, mixed, polished aluminum or chrome?

I'd buy new 18" wheel's and keep the 305x65's, which are close to 34 inches tall anyway. 18x9 with a 5.5 to 5.7 BS wheel's ought to work. Check with Wandell to make sure!!

Thank yall for the input. and Altatruck, i am not sure whether to go with black wheels or polished. I will try and take some pictures of the truck tommorow. Also, i am not very familiar with BS. i have seen on here guys running about 5" and that seems to be the look im after. i would like them to stick out. but only enough to look aggresive and not ridiculous. but, will these 305/65/18's fit a wider rim? i have no idea.

again thanks for the input i think i am going to stick with the 18's.

Thank's, I'm running 17x9's with 5 inches of BS. Tires are close to 34 inches tall and 12 inches wide. These wheel's whether 17 or 18" will stick out 2 inches more than stock.

I agree with Paw Paw. Keep your BFG's and get some 18x9 inch wheels with 5 to 6 inches of BS. A 9 inch wheel with 5 inches of BS will stick out 2 inches farther than your OEM wheels and one with 6 inches of BS will stick out an inch farther than your current wheels.
