How big of a tire on stock 18" rim???

2006 King Ranch Screw
stock tires are 275/65/18 (if I remember correctly)

How big of a tire can I go with on my stock 18" rims? I have a 2" level Kit on it and want to put a AT tire that will look good on it. I get told different sizes every place I go. I want it to look good on the truck and have a bigger tire to give it that truck look. I have been told 285/65/18 Toyo AT's and I was also told the Goodyear Silent Armor 275/70/18.

Any suggestions?

If it's a 4x4 leveled you can go up to a 35x12.5 tire but a 305x65x18 (34") may be the ideal fit.

How about a 305/65R18 BFG AT. If you want bigger maybe the Mickey Thompson ATZ in LT305/70R18 (might get some rubbing).

Tire size

I have the same question on tire size. I have a 2009 FX4 super crew , stock suspension, no leveling. I want the largest tire that fits. Can a 305/65R18 tire work? I'm looking at the Firestone Destination A/T.

I too would like to stay with stock wheels. I'm looking at 33x12.50. Toyo MT. I know they recommend a 8-10" wheel, but I notice many of you are running a wide tire on a stock wheel. I guess my question would be does it really wear all that much quicker? Does it really cup the tires to any degree?

Sometimes, running a tire on a wheel that is too narrow will cause the center portion of the tread to wear slightly faster than normal, similar to running too much air pressure. Cupping is not an issue.

So I'm guessing that its slight enough that it's probably nothing to worry about?

Thumbs up F150 2WD w/level kit How big can I go?

I have a 2004 F150 SCREW with a 3" front leveling kit installed. I have 275-60X17's on it now and they look small. How large can I go without major rubs? I'm wanting to go with either 285x75x18 (34.83 in) or 35 x 12.5
any suggestions?

im running 285/75/18 on my stock rims no problem. I have a 3 inch lift though. However I think it is 10.5 wide so that gives you what the bead can handle anyways

I'm thinking on some BFG ATs - 275/70R18 on my factory Lariat wheels.

Nope. It was on this week's list of things to do but with all the recent snow it got pushed back. Sure wish I had them on though because it would of made driving easier. I'm 95% sure I'm going with BFG All-Terrains.
