how wide of a tire

How wide of a tire can i fit on a 8.5in wide wheel? the wheels im lookin at are 18x8.5

nothing wider than 13.5" on 8.5" wide wheels or the tires will crown.

Yeah, I don't think I'd go wider than a 13.50 inch wide tire.
