Brake Problem

Well when i go to slow down or stop my truck starts to shake really bad.. idk really know what it is ive heard and think it is the rotors..can anyone confirm??

If its not does anyone know what it could be??

It does this while coming to a stop? This should be you needing new pads/rotors.

My truck does the same thing. My old truck did the same thing. Everytime it was rotors. Everytime I've upgraded to a better brake system. Bigger calipers and slotted rotors. They put too small of brakes on these trucks and they over heat and warp. It sucks, but upgrading is better than constantly replacing rotors especially if you drive your truck hard.

I'd inspect first but it sounds like new pads and rotors. While the brakes on the trucks are smallish, they still do a good job braking and I've never had an issue with warping. I think I'm easy on the brakes though.

I doubt you have a rotor run out gauge so I would say rotors and pads. I recommend not buying the cheapest stuff you can buy due to it affects your braking and you will have lots of noise.

ok. so rotors pretty much lol. not a brake guy.

il get new rotors sometime..

may also be an out-of-round tire or an alignment issue but dont count the rotors out as those can most likely be warped

ok well i think my alignment is good so im guna bet its the rotors.
