Tire size for 06 fx4 supercrew?

I'm looking at getting a more aggressive tire for my pickup. The stock size is 275 65R 18. I want to keep the stock rims and the stock hight to it also, just was wondering if anyone knew what sizes of tires would rub and what wouldn't?

A 285x65x18 which is close to 33 inches tall would fit and look great on a stock height 4x4. BFG and Nitto make these in an all terrain.

I was looking at getting some pro comp all terrains, the only sizes that they have are 285x60R-18 or 33x13.50R-18, would either of these fit?

Not the 33x13.5, too wide.

It maybe obvious by the name but i'm in North Dakota with icy and snow filled roads, would the Nitto Terra Grappler compare to the Pro Comp AT's?

I would go with the Nitto, by all accounts they are a better tire, should get decent mileage 40-50k miles and do well in snow from what I have heard. You could also consider the GY Wrangler Silent Armor, they are Mountain Snowflake Rated and handle great in snow.

My last set of tires were the Nitto Terra Grapplers (At's) Took a trip to WV to ski and those tires gripped the snow and ice pretty well. My cousin had some Mickey Thompson MT's and he couldn't get traction for nothing. I didn't have a problem. They rode smooth and quiet and lasted 50,000 Miles. Great tire! I wanted something even more aggresive so I went for the bigger brother..the Trail Grapplers and so far..awesome tire. Nitto has got it going on, and cheaper than Toyos too.

A buddy of mine bought those for his 09 and they are pretty loud on the highway. I have the same size Toyos (33x12.5) and they are definitely louder than mine.

How loud are they campared to your previous tires?

The Trail Graps definitely have a little hum on the interstate (70+), which is expected with any M/t tire. On the highway however (50-60), they can't really be heard.. But research shows that the Trails Graps are amongst the quietest of Mud Terrian tires. I can't see the slight hum they put off bothering anyone. The Terra's were really quiet. Probably just as quiet as the stockers.

Tell that to his wife... She wished he went with the Toyos because we rarely drive under 70 in Texas.

I only mentioned it because he brought it up to me the other day. The sound does not bother me, but I used to run 40" Super Swampers on my BIG truck when I was in high school...

I was just searching for leveling kits and found that rough country has a 2.5" leveling kit for $99.95 or the leveling kit with 1" rear block and Nitro 9000 shocks for the rear for $199.95. Has anyone heard anything about this? I kind of seems odd that its so cheap compared to everyone else.

Where is the best site to find those Nitto Tires? I checked around locally and no one around here carries them, they must not be to popular up here.

$99 is not cheap. It's probably an average price, but not cheap. A $100 for a rear block and two shocks doesn't sound bad, but not exactly great either.
