new wheels and tires, now rubbing

So, I have a 2005 FX4.

I got new wheels: http://aewheel.com/wheels_detail_specs.cfm?id=25

17x9 offset is -12mm, backspacing is 4.47

I got new tires: the nitto dune grapplers

285/70/17

Had them put on yesterday, I love the way they look, but they're rubbing when I fully turn. My question is if I put a leveling kit will it prevent this? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

A 2 or 2 1/2" leveling kit should correct it and make the truck look even better. It's the wheel's causing the rubbing in the front at stock height.

17x9 wheel with 5 inches of BS with 295x70x17 Toyo MT's. Not even close to rubbing with a 2 1/2" leveling kit.

Most folks go with the AutoSpring leveling kit....usually can find them for less than $100 and by all accounts they are great kits...what I will be going with down the road.

Truck looks great. Put a leveling kit on it and enjoy. By the way I am running the same offset and back spacing and a 295/70/17 with plenty of room to spare.

I am running a 2 1/2" autospring in the front and a 1 1/2" add-a leaf in the rear also autospring. I ordered them as a kit off of ebay about 2 1/2 years ago and haven't had a single problem with them. By the way I added the add-a leaf to the rear because I have a top on the truck that I haul hunting and fishing things in all the time and I don't care for the cali / bull dog look.
Hope this helps

Was your add-a-leaf difficult to install? Also did it give it the nose down look again or just make it look slightly taller? I was thinking of putting one in as well so that I can haul our horse trailer with less of the nose up look! I am running a 2 1/2 Hellbent level

On my truck it put the rear maybe an inch higher than the front, Not the 70's hot rod rake but what a truck should look like. As for install it was very easy, i did one side at a time. Put the truck on jack stands, put a jack under one side of the axle and unbolt the u-bolts. Let the jack down enough to put the add-a-leaf in and jack the axle back up and reinstall the u-bolts. I can't remember if mine came with new u-bolts or not, I have put on about six different lifts in the last couple years and they see to run together in my mind. I did the front and rear of the truck in about three hours or less and this was my first time to do one on a f150. By the way we have three f150s in my family and everyone agrees that after I did the level and add-a-leaf my truck drives, handles, rides and tows better than any of the rest.
