When you guys buy tires online do you just take em to a shop and have them mounted? If so doesn't that eliminate the savings?

It really depends on the tires/prices/tax/shipping/ free mount and balance .....etc . a lot of factors come into play, so its best to shop around, for me it was cheapest to get them from TreadDepot vs Local shop

I ordered my tires from them about a year ago. The local shops didn't have what I was looking for. Good customer service and price. Even with having to have them mounted and balance locally I still came out fine price wise.

Go to your local mom n pop tire shop tell what you like and how much you saw it for and give them a chance to make the deal. You never know you might be suprised.I was going to order online but before i did i just checked price localy and they were $7 more per tire including mounting. So it ended up being cheaper over all.And I didn't have that uncomfortable feeling of asking them to mount tires I bought from someone else.
