hub centric?

hub centric?

hey guys i ordered some american racing chamber wheels and noticed it says "wheel hub centric"

i sort of have an idea as to what it means but can someone fully
explain this to me?

it means the wheel's center hole is the exact size of the hub of your truck and they center themselves on that, otherwise they would be lug centric meaning they would center themselves on your studs by using a acorn style lug nut.

i see. so this means i need that ring thingy correct?
also, does it matter what kind i get?

If the wheels are hub centric you DO NOT need hub centric rings.
