Anyone running a set of these tires? I am looking at them to replace my aftermarket 17" wheel with 295/70/17s that stick out, to a stock set of FX4 wheels. I know they are about an inch taller (which is good). Just looking for any comments on the tires.

What did you give for them if you don't mind, and from where?

 

I thought hard and really considered getting the Trails. I chose the Open Country MTs because I just loved the look and the fact that folks have said you can get 45-50k out of them. To me though, you couldnt go wrong, that's a damn good looking tire.

 

Thats what I am thinking that its a good looking tire and it's relatively affordable.

 

Another quick question can someone running the 295/70/18s get a real measurement on the tires. I am looking to see just how much bigger they are than my current 295/70/17s.

 

I have said on here before I saw a truck locally a couple weeks back with them on stock rims and it looked awesome. I love 35's on stock rims but to me the 295/70's look ever bit as good.

 

I was quoted 1435.00 OTD with road hazard. That was from Jack Furriers here in AZ. I think Rimzone.com has them cheapest online but then you dont get rotations or road hazard.

 

I have been looking for these tires when I came across 4wheelonline.com. Has anyone used this site before? They have the 295/70/18s for $249.54 a piece with free shipping and no sales tax unless in Florida I believe. Does anyone know anything about this website? If it is a good site, I may be ordering my tires tonight.

 

The open country MT's are made by the same company as the Nitto trails are and the Nitto trails are a little more aggressive but should last just as long or longer than the open country Mt's

 

the cheapest place to get them is probably www.discounttiredirect.com they had the 35x12.5x18 for $285 per tire with free shipping.

 

About an inch taller then the 295x70x17's width is about the same. This is from the Nitto web site.

Hmmm, if so, after looking at these things again and seeing that tire size being a true 34, almost makes me want to reconsider the Toyo MTs. These will be much cheaper than the toyos and look just as good or better.
