im going to order some wheels but they arnt the size suggested by a fellow
member for the look im going for. i would like for my tires to stick out of the body

the first size im considering is a 17x8/ 0 offset/ 4.5" BS
- how would this look on a 35x12.5x17 tire?

the second size is 18x9.5/ -24 offset/ 4.25" BS
- same as the last question.

which tire would stick out more with the given choice of sizes?
and look better? opinions needed!

The 17x8's will stick out 1.5 inches farther than your OEM wheels. The 18x9.5's will stick out 3.25 inches farther than your OEM wheels.

 

dang lol coupled with mud grapplers thats quite alot.
would it not be a good idea to run the 18x9.5s with mud grapplers when all im going to do is level my truck and put a 3" BL?
or would you suggest the 17x8s?

 

Personally, I'd go with a 9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing.

 

i have a 3" bl and 16x10" wheels with 305/70s and they fit great. the graps look sweet on w wide wheel. its something about the graps with the aggressive sidewalls they look like they could be 13" wide...

He has a 2004, not a 97-03.

 

I wouls recommend going with the 18x9.5 with -24 offset. My wheels have a -25 offset and wouldn't go with anything higher. My tires (not rims) stick out around 3" past the fender.
