Correct Tire Pressure

What amount of tire pressure is everyone using? I just bought 275/70/18 BFGs and they put 60 lbs in it. Is that alot? I usually ran 35 in my old truck with larget tires. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Those are a load range E tire with a max of 80. 60 is a bit high. I would run them at 50. 35 would be way low for those and dangerous. It is not the tire size that matters, it is the load range and weight carrying ability.

you can go by the max inflation pressure stated on the sidewall of your tires. if they say max 80, 80 will get you the best fuel mileage tho the ride may be a little harsh, you can decide for yourself where you like the pressure down to around 40-50 just keep an eye on the wear pattern if the edges start to wear funny you have probably gone too low.
FWIW I run my "E range" tires at 75psi all the time.

I run my 305-55-20 Toyo AT's at 50 psi. They are wearing perfect front back, left to right. They are load range E's.
