What kinda mileage will you probably see for anyone who has used the Trail Grapplers. I am not sure to go with Terra or Trail grapplers. Mainly for the look of the Trail grapplers is why i want them. But if it sacrafices alot of miles i will just stick with the Terra even though those look Badbutt for sure. Sweet ride!!

With Gryphon installed, I have been running between levels 2 and 3 since I have gotten them (level 2 because I towed a boat). Right now I am at 14.4 mpg, but that may drop as I put a few more miles on it. I need gas soon, so I may just fill up and do the calculation that way.

I am running about 38 psi right now. I was wondering what would be a good pressure to run for these. I want as smooth a ride as I can get with the least amount of wear on the tire. Have you found anything about what a good PSI to run is for these trail graps?

I am running 50 in mine right now. This may be a little high, but it is an E rated tire. I have not found anything specific for this tire but did a good bit of reading on E rated tires. A lot of what I have read says you should not run them lower 45-50, but at the same time I do not want to wear the center out early. If you or anyone else has input please share. I may also look at the "****" (for lack of better words) the pieces all over the tire that are remaining from the casting of the tire and see if the ones on the edge (outer lugs) are still there. If so I may air down to 43-45. BTW my ride at 50psi is still very good.

as far as PSI goes, Max is 60 so you would be okay running them at 50 but since you have them on stock rims I would probly run them more around 40 just so, like you said, you don't wear the centers out since they are pinched in a bit. I ran around 40-45 in my old Hankook Dynapro RT03 (max 65) 285/70R17's on my old truck and go around 60k miles out of them, when they took them off I went out and looked at them and they wore perfectly.

Actually Max is 80 on this tire. The crown may be a little pinched, but according to nitto a 7.5" wheel is in spec. Were your Hankook D or E rated?

Oops, my bad I just glanced at it quickly and it looked like 60 to me. I think you would probly want to start around 50 where you are at now, and like you said just check and make sure the centers are not bulged too much. The good thing about those tires is that the low end of the rec. rim width is 7.5, so you are in the rec. range at least....its not like when people put 35's on 7'' wide rims when you really really have to watch it.

The Hankooks were "D".

If you can stand to run run them at 45-50 psi it would help out your highway mileage. Also it's better to run a little higher pressure in the hot summer month's coming up. 38 to 40 psi may be a little too low.
