black 22" monsters...you got better ideas???

so i've been thinking of getting the the black 22" monsters wrapped in 305/50-55/22's....don't have the cash right now but i like these wheels and will have cash this summer.... i'm open for suggestions on what to get cause i don't have the money as of now. i really don't want to level my truck and leave it stock...and XD's look mighty enticing but i am a fan of eagles as well, i had the moto metal 951's on my '07 but i think black wheels look A LOT more aggressive/mean and am looking for any ideas....

nicely played

There are a lot of people (on this site) running monsters. I am one of them, so I'm biased and I'd say go for it. The reason they are common is because they are sick. I have yet to see another set on the street here in Colorado. So they are very unique in this area and I get all kinds of questions and compliments.

I'm not sure about 22's. I think you might risk losing some ride compliance not to mention the smaller amount of sidewall could lead to damaging a rim when you hit a pothole. Driven carefully they shouldn't be a problem.
As far as the monsters, they aren't bad. Personally I like the black rims but still want some shiny stuff too. I like the wheels from Mamba and will be getting some M1's in the near future. They are mostly black with some machined sufaces.

You can tell you've never owned 22's. mine ride better than any other setup ive ever had and I have 305/45's. If he goes with 50 or 55 he will have more than enough side wall.

I say get the monsters on 50 series tires unless you plan on lifting it. a 305/55/22 is a big tire!

I would go with monsters. People say that everyone has them but where I live I've only seen 2 or 3 trucks with them. 22s would be sick. To bad you don't wanna level it out, 33s would be sick in a mud terrain on your truck.

the stock stance on the 09s is nearly level as is - I wouldn't touch it. I've seen a couple "levelled" 09s and they look bulldog & awkward.

thanks for some positive feedback guys...yeah i wrote 305/50-55/R22's on the original thread but i made a mistake, i was thinking of tires for 20" wheels. i think the 305/50/R22's might even be a little big....i'll probably have to go with 305/45/R22's once i get some cash and pull the trigger. here is a photoshop a member did for me with 20" chrome monsters.....i think they look decent, but black would just make the truck look more aggressive IMO.

I like the black, also check mamba and moto metal as well as XD's other wheels. I have only seen 1 pair of monsters while driving around so they arent too played IMO. Def go with black.

Also, if you want an aggressive look you could level it and add a lift shackle to maintain your rake. Just a thought, cost me $130 to do this.
