Will an 18 x 9 wheel work on a 15.50?

Hello everybody I am looking at getting a set of 18 x 9 DC-1's and im looking to put them on a 39.5 x 15.50. Will they work with that wide of a tire? Ive had a 16 x 10 on a 15.50 but not an 18 x 9. I'm not sure the backspacing and all on the wheels. I just wanna know if they will fit or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I would not try it. Even if you could get them on I think it would leave the center/cap of the tire too bubbled up and would wear them out prematurely.

How did they wear on your 10" wide wheels? I would think you would rather be on a 12" wheel for a 15.50.

there are a few people on here that have ran a 38x15.5 on 9in. wide wheels, the 16in. wheels made it easier because there was more sidewall on the tires to flex inward but i still think you would be ok on the 9in. wides.

Holy resurrected thread Batman!!

I have the same issue, I have 36x15.50R18 tires that I cannot find wheels for. I can't find any 18" wheels wider than 9". Does anyone know where to get an 18x10 or 18x12? My tires would look/fit even worse because there is even less sidewall on my 36 18's than the previously mentioned 38 18's.

Thanks in advance for any help for this newbie to the forums.

you just got to shop around. i just did a lift kit and the guy brought me 18x12 rockstars mounted on 38x15.50 to put on his truck. they are out there. the problem with running that size tire on a 9" wheel is because the sidewalls are not big enough to allow flex which means you are going to have more bubble in the center of the tire and you will be changing tires faster than you want too

youre more than likely going to have to get some blank wheels and get them drilled for your truck. i know kmc and other companies make 18x12's but they only make them for 8 lug trucks. fuel offroad makes some 12 and 14in. wide wheels for our trucks but idk if they make 18s.
