New tires are on!

My Duratracs came in today. Wasn't expecting them until at least tomorrow. Put them on since it was really slow at work today.

Stock wheels and tires:

New wheels and leveled (same tires as in last pic):

New tires on today:

Tires are 285/70R17 D load. So far they seem to ride pretty nice. More noise than my A/T's but that's to be expected. The truck definitely rides better now that I have a tire that is matched more to the wheel width. The 265s on my 9" wide wheels were definitely a bit wobbly. They were also P-rated, so I'm sure that had something to do with the wobble. I inflated them to 48psi front/45psi rear and I'll do some adjusting over the next week or two before I settle on something.

thanks. it's pretty much exactly where i want it...for now. haha!

i really wanted to go bigger on the tires, but there's no way i can afford a lift right now, and i'm not too big on body lifts. hopefully by the time it comes time to replace these tires, i'll have the cash for a lift.

for now, i want to do some off-road lights behind the grille and a couple other small things. but like i said, it's pretty much where i want it now.

yeah they look much better in person than in pics, but i think that goes for pretty much any tire to be honest. also, my pic is pretty bad quality. i took it on my blackberry and you can see it's pretty gloomy out today so there wasn't much light.
