Also, I highly recommend using Westley bleach white to clean them. If you spray it on, then use a rag to scrub them a little (not much effort needed) you will have a very clean base to start with. It causes break dust and dirt to "melt" away. After doing this apply your tire care product of choice and it works a lot better.
