WOW.. wish i knew how to use Photoshop. That is bad A$$ and looks pretty good BTW.

Can you try to make them look black? The do like the DSG look too.

Dont yell at me by asking this... but can chrome me powder coated? What kind of prep is needed?

I have a vendor of mine at work that E-coats, is like a powder coat process with voltage and current by is a dip process. Think that might work?

Not sure about the dip process. I think to be Powder coated they would need to be blasted first. Painting would just requires some scuffing. I think no matter what process is used blasting them will always give you the best results.

I think with his PS skills he made your truck look badass... I like the color of the rims as he displayed them, it matches your bottom tone, looks like it was meant to be there, and will be much easier to maintain brake dust than chrome.

I did a search for KMC Hoss and I "think" these are the black ones... If not let me know and I'll redo it. Swamped at work right now, which is a good think I guess. So this is an extreme quickie. Contrast isn't correct. Perspective is screwed up. But I didn't have time to perfect it. It'll give you some idea though.

Just for fun. If they made a 20" Raptor wheel lol

What's funny is those are the same color wheels I need for my truck. Just haven't found any DSG wheels yet. Except for Raptor wheels.

For powder coat you just need to sand blast the old finish off to get down to the bare metal. Once you have that you tape off areas you don't want powder on with some hi temp tape. Then you spray the powder on and bake them.

I just saw a thread this morning where a guy was showing off his FX4 18s powder coated close to a DSG color. They looked great. Go for it. Those Raptors look tough as well.

The poster's handle is "Blang" and I will paste the address to the thread. It is located in the 2004-2008 subforum. Maybe this will work.

I've considered coating my Hoss' too as I have chrome flaking on one. I'm not sure how the powdercoat would do on all the little allen head screws and bolt heads. Lots of little nooks and crannys.

I don't think black wheels would look out of place on your truck, you have several black accents. I think the XD Addicts would look pretty sweet:

Love the grey! We are thinking of buying a truck just like yours. and would like to have grey wheels. What's the price range to get them coated grey?
