mitch im not the one to call someone out and all that. BUT there is no way your getting that from a tire. If so, enter it in the world record books because you will take it home buddy. My nittos are wearing awesome couldnt be happier with them. I've heard of people getting like 75-80k out of BFG and ran them to NOTHING but 140k, completely UNheard of.

im not calling you a liar dude just saying. I've never ever ever heard anyone getting close to that... with any truck tire let alone an all terrain. your def spending less than I am. i've had 4 sets on my truck lol orginal goodyear ats(80k), general at2(sucked ***!!!! maybe 15k) mickey thompson baja claws(maybe 30k and i stress maybe) and now i've got nitto terra grappler. looking to upgrade to 35" mud grapplers soon though

That's alright bowman, most people don't believe me, but that's honestly what I average with the at's. I had a '90 f150 that I went through 2 sets, the 2nd set didn't actually have 140,000 on them as I got rid of the truck when there was only 100,000 on them, but they could have easily gone another 30 or 40, and with my present truck, I put a set on when I had only 9900 miles on the truck and just replaced that set, the truck had a 169,000 on it. All I know is, I'm the one spending less money on tires.

With all of the above said, I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong then b/c mine are wearing really badly and have only put close to 6,000 on them. I'm wondering if it's pressure alone b/c I checked the tread again closely this afternoon and the wear is definitely mostly on the outside...not so much the inside. I've had 2 alignments; not sure what else I can do. I've put the pressure at 50. We'll see how it goes.

I sell both tires and get good results out of each (10yrs wholesale distribution). Its the dumbass' at the tire stores that sold you a LT tire then put P metric air pressure in it. But they did what the door called for and not what the tire called for. It will cause wear on the outside of the shoulders and premature wear because the tire is heating up more then it should.
Now adding PSI will cause the tires to ride harder which is why the installer left em low. They dont want you to come back complaining about a crappy ride. But thats the problem with 18in all terrains, most of them are all 8 or 10 ply tires, which our f150s only need a p metric or 6 ply.
I have heard of my customers getting around 70k on nittos and bfgs taking care of them.
Now that you are armed with info, id go back to the tire store and make them prorate the tires towards a new set if it hasnt been too long. Most retail chain stores want to make you happy, if not call there coorperate number. They hate it when the regional makes them do stuff they told you 'NO'. I hear em complain all the time.

So far....with 50 psi in them....the ride isn't that much different than at 35. I'm just hoping the pressure fixes the issue.

Well, it's not a bad idea, they're not hard to check. I only had problems w/ the lower joints (which I forgot to mention). I would ride around w/ the higher tire pressure and see how they wear, which could take awhile.
