2007 f150 harley saleen supercharged tires, wheels,level

Hello everyone, new guy to the scene of mods, just bought an 07 blown hd and will need some help getting this truck how i want it. Not gonna do anything major, but right now just need some new rubber, i want to put on nitto nt 420 s 305/40/22 on the factory 22's. My question is has anyone done this, how do you think it will look, and will i have any issues with that tire fitting on a 22x9 wheel, rubbing? I need to get tires today, one is almost illegal, any and all help will be appreciated.

I'm lowered 2/4 and run the 2008 Harley Davidson wheels with 305/40-22 tires with no rubbing issues.

Thanks stealth, are your tires flush? My truck is all stock but i do want to make it sit level by bringing down the back, any suggestions doing that on a budget?

How much $$ would i be looking at to bring it down a little in the back and make it sit level, what are my options? Anybody

Is yours AWD or 2wd?

My tires flush as in with the fenders? Yes, more or less.

Ground Force 2" lowering shackles 91201 (stock bushings) or 91200 (polyurethane bushings). Summit has good prices, as does Amazon.

MINE IS 2WD, THANKS A LOT FOR THE PICTURES AND SPECS, THAT IS HOW I WANT MINE TO SIT. IF I ORDER THE PARTS FOR THE DROP ONLINE, WHATS THE INSTALL LIKE, I'VE DONE BASIC WORK ON MY TRUCKS BUT NEVER LOWERED ANYTHING, SHOULD I LEAVE IT TO A SHOP? WHAT WOULD BE A FAIR PRICE FOR THE WORK? I ORDERED THE TIRES TODAY AND i'LL GET THEM PUT ON NEXT WEEK. THE 08' FACTORY WHEELS LOOK GOOD.

Shackles are easy. Just take the load off the leafs (use jackstands) and swap the shackles out, then loosen the ubolts on the axle and slide the tapered shims in fat end facing rearwards, and of course final torque your bolts when the truck is on the ground.

If you're going to do a full 2/4 drop it would be better to have a shop do it if you are not familiar doing that sort of work. Just get quotes and do your homework before buying parts and getting work done.

I apologize for the multiple posts, I am bored at work and posting on the iPhone. :o

I did my 2/4 drop partly by myself and partly with help on the ground on jackstands. It can be done but is a real pain. If you have a two piece drive shaft you will need to do a carrier bearing relocation which involves cutting the stock one off and laying out and installing a new one. This keeps the DS alignment to specs. It was a real PITA but can be done.

Like I said if you are not familiar let a shop do the install.

Thanks for all the info stealth. If i just do shackles as opposed to the 2/4 drop, what will be the outcome in terms of how the truck will sit? What do shackles really do when you're talking about leveling, and what does the 2/4 do? If i'm looking to make the truck sit level, will shackles alone do that?

Shackles drop the truck in the rear. You are changing the mounting geometry of the rear spring perch. As long as you install the wedges so that the rear end pumkin keeps the same alignment with the driveshaft, all you have done is lower the rear 1 1/2 or 2 inches, depending on which kit you get. It makes the truck sit almost level. The rear is still about 1/2 to 1 inch higher than the front.
