? about offset

I have a 2006 f150 and was looking at buying a set of XD wheels. it says that they have a 35mm offset and i was wondering wat that offset was? will it push my wheels out to where i need fender flares or keep them in under the wheel wells?

+35mm offset is like a factory wheel. It will have your tire about 2" inside the fender well.

I found these two comparison calculators to be very helpful in understanding wheel offset.

So I just put a set of XD Monsters 18x9, +18mm offset. I went with a 295/70 Nitto Trail Grappler which is a 34.7/11.4 or so. I like how far these tires stick out and so far it was exactly what I wanted.

For some reason I can't post any pic's but go to my profile and there are some on there including a pic of how far the tire sticks out.

Hope this helps.
