a year ago, i bought a new set of 20x9 neeper wheels and they are still sitting in the garage, last spring at a swap meet, i bought 2/3rds of a fabtech 6" lift w/coilovers and TWO TOYO mt-35x12.5x20 tires with 90% tread on them. today i see another single tire on cl, same tire same amount of tread. my question, would you buy that tire and then purchase the fourth tire new? my original plan was to buy two new and run the two used ones on the back 'till they have even wear. so. what about the three plus one new idea?
a new tire is $400. i paid $100 for the pair and this guy wants $175 ..so, the saving is definitely there..

 

I wouldn't buy the single used tire personally.

 

I'd only buy it to run as a spare.

 

Depends on the manufacture date of the tire. Tires have shelf life of about seven years.
