I need new tires... Thinking of trying a different size?

Well guys currently I have a 2.5" spacer lift with factory FX4 Rims and BFG AT 305/65/18's. Tires have lasted 40k miles. I have had them rebalanced a couple of times. Other than that they have been great. So I was looking at the other BFG A/T's and noticed the 275/70/18's. What attracted me to them is the similar size of the 305's and about $100 cheaper. Thats a $400 savings!

Comparing them...
305/65/18 Height 33.7/width 12.2/weight 65lbs $296ea

275/70/18 Height 33.2/width 11/weight 57lbs $200ea

Couple a questions...
1. I don't think I would notice the width much?
2. Would I notice the .5 inches in height?
3. Why are the 275's on tire racks website not rates for severe snow but the 305's are?

Thanks
Ralph

I'd stick with the 305's. I think the difference in width will be huge.
