I wouldn't use 12 hd lugs and 12 oem lugs...The oem lugs might push the cap to the edge. If you are going to use 12 hd lugs I would use 12 spline lugs so the cap doesn't touch the lug.

I hope I explained that right.....

Cheap OEM 22's

I found a guy in Michigan who has access to an overstock of Ford OEM 22's that he is selling for $895.00 A SET shipped. I got mine shipped to Texas for $800.00. These are the same wheels that Ford has offered in the past as an accessory for F-150s and Expeditions. It is a liquid forged chrome wheel, it is the same as the 22" Roush wheel as a matter of fact. Only difference is that the Roush wheels have the logo stamped in the lip and the Ford wheels are plain with a Ford logo centercap that you have to order sepearately.

Here are a few links:

http://www.ravenelford.com/coupons/a...ries/index.cfm

All I did was make the guy who was selling them take multiple pictures of wheels and then compared them to the wheel on the showroom floor at my local Ford dealership. All markings and ID #'s were indentical so I knew they were legit and ordered them. Next I ordered the 8L3Z-1130-G centercap set. All four wheels and centercaps cost me $840.00 shipped.

If you want a set of these wheels call Chad at instockwheels.com/

weight

Ive, already committed to the H.D. wheels, But I'm curious about the liquid forged ford wheels. ROUSH Used to advertise that thier 22's were 9 lbs. lighter than thier 20's. I weighed mine a while back, and I believe they were 44lbs. so that would put them at 35 lbs. could you confirm this ?

That is complete BS. I've had a set of the Roush 22's that I sold to get these Ford logo 22's and like I said they're the same wheel and I promise you they are over 45+ pounds a wheel and weighed the same. My shipping labels from UPS read 48 lbs on the Ford wheels (no tires). So assume the wheel plus the weight of the box was just under 48. I would have the say the wheel weighs atleast 45-46 lbs. My Roush wheels were shipped with tires and those UPS shipping labels read 82 lbs. Still, compared to the weight of your 20's I would call these 22's light weight as far as weight vs. mass is concerned. Hope this helps.

Unsprung weight

Yes, Thanks for the info. My H.D. rims arrived yesterday. Each box was shipped with a rate based on 51 lbs. caps came in a seperate box. UPS ushually rounds up on the weight. Roush recommends the use of their wheels with their suspension, so I figured the weight and the offset could be key for getting the most out of the suspension. I just didnt want to take the chance with the chrome looking lousy after a short time. The chrome on my 20's looks great on the outside but has started pitting on the inside, and I dont run them in the winter and always keep them waxed. so I didnt want to spend the dough and be unhappy in the future. The N.H. dealer quoted me $13.00 a pc. for the H.D. lugs.
