Need advice...315/70/17 on my truck?

I have a 2000 f150 with off road package. I need new tires before i get inspected by the end of july so i want to go as big as possible. Im thinking the goodyear dura tracs but dont know what size. I have no lift except for a spring helper in the rear which adds an inch and the axle blocks that came with it. In the front i will crank the tbars and trim valence. So how big can i go? I think i can do 305/70s but was wondering what yall think about the 315/70s. What would be better in the long run for my truck components if it matters? Also what size wheel should i go with and what back spacing? I found a good deal on 17x9 Also if i went with the 35s would i have to make any additional mods if i want to keep it driving simalar to the way it is now? Sorry for all the questions guys but im gettin down to the wire and would love some help

i am running 305/65/17 now with the tbars cranked a bit, i personally think its a good size for a stock height truck. i hear of few people running 315/70/17 on the stock or close to stock wheels with torsion bars maxed out, valence trimmed, and they rub at full lock. let wandell chime in here he knows his tire/wheel stuff well.

You can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50) if you use your OEM 17x7.5 inch wheels. If you go with a 9 inch wide wheel, stick with a 305/65-17 (33x12.50).
