Advice please - BFG AT TA's 305/65-18

Looking for any advice on getting BFG AT TA's installed on my 2004 FX4.

I have the 2" AS front level already on my truck, and it is time to get new tires, as the original BFG Rugged Trails are ready for replacement at 50,000 miles.

I also have the Monroe Load leveling rear shocks on the truck too. Should I be worried about rear wheel clearance?

Was planning on getting the BFG AT TA's in a 285/65-18, but they are not available anymore from Sears. The salesman offered me the 305/65-18 for the same price.

I do not want to deal with excessive rubbing, I can tolerate it once in while.

My main driving is around town and hauling dirt bikes.

Any opinions or experience would be helpful, I will promise to post pictures after the new tires are put on.

They won't rub at all if you use the OEM wheels. At least no one here has ever reported any rubbing.

I have the 305/65/18 BFG's on my truck with a 2" leveling kit. They are on stock rims and don't rub at all. I have pics in my gallery.

I think they were $279.00 a piece + mounting balancing and lifetime warranty. There was also a $60 rebate. I got a local tire company (Discount Tire) to beat an internet price.

Looks like I am getting the BFG AT's in 275/70-18 for $185.00 each.

This is the factory size for the F250 SuperDuty's with 18" wheels, and I like the look.

I did some research, and think these may actually work better for me.

Stock OEM BFG Rugged Trails 275/65-18 are 31.9" diameter by 10.7" section width.

285/65-18 BFG AT T/A KO's are 32.8" diameter by 11.5" section width.

275/70-18 BFG AT T/A KO's are 33.2" diameter by 11.0" section width.

305/65-18 BFG AT T/A KO's are 33.7" diameter by 12.2" section width.
