Wheel spacers?

Putting a 2.5" leveling kit and 295/70/R18s on my '05 Lariat 4x4. Using my stock OEM wheels and thinking about using wheel spacers to widen the stance a little. I've heard mixed reviews on wheel spacers...some say they cause a rough ride but I don't understand how. Anybody with experience with these on an F150?

I've run 1.5" spacers on mine for a couple of years now and have had no negative issues.

Just a AS 2.5" level kit. Tires are 25/65/20 but now I'm running 35/12.5 KM2's
