F-350 Wheel/Tire help

Ok so I need tires....BAD! My stock wheels look like they may have been chrome at one point, but now they are kinds dull and aluminum looking. My question is what do I do!? I plow with the truck and its a 350 so its already kinda high, I would like much more aggressive looking tires than the michelins that are on it now. Can I put a bigger tire (wider and higher) on my stockers? And just paint my wheels? If so, how do I go about painting them? And if not, i wanna spend abt 1200 for new wheels and tires, any suggestions? I dont even know where to start or what tires to go with. Any help is appreciated as I obviously am clueless when it comes to tires! Thanks!

A little more infor on the truck will help. Is your SD a 4x4 or 4x2? What size are your OEM wheels?

You have a couple options. 33's or 35's will fit using the OEM wheels. Or you could add a leveling kit and run 33's on wider aftermarket wheels, which is what I would do.

Ok, what size is a 33" tire? As in metric or whatever they are measured in. Also, do you have any recomendations for a 33" tire that would fit on my stock wheels? Any opinions on a wider aftermarket set?? Do i need to buy a leveling kit or can i crank something in the front end? Sorry for all the questions, Im just really lost with the whole wheel/tire thing!

A 285/75-16 is a 33x11.50 tire and would work great with the OEM 16x7 inch wheels. Personally, I'd go with a set of 16x10's and some 305/70-16 (33x12.50) tires. And yes, you will have to buy a leveling kit if you choose to raise your front slightly.

Yep, 33's will fit easily at stock height.
