Wheels & Tire idea for 2001 F-150

Hi all just purchased a used 2001 F-150 XL4wd. Tires on the truck are
265x75xr16 and 16x8 stock rims. I am looking into changing out wheels and bigger tires. Does anyone have any idea as to what wheel width and style work best. I am mainly going to be using this truck for the woods and winter time. I have a company car now and purchased the truck to go to th ehunting club, do a lil off-road, and tow my quad. I would like to maybe got to a 10" rim to gain some tread etc.

What I am not sure is the offset i would need to get for the rim etc... any comments or ideas would help..
thanks,

Your OEM wheels are 16x7. I'd suggest using a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing and some 33x12.50 tires. You will have to trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance for clearance. Whether you use 16, 17, 18 or 20 inch wheels is strictly up to you.
