Brake problem

Tomorrow I get the new tires. I have a problem. Noticed today that the brakes are not as "efficient" as they had been. takes a bit more to stop. When fully stopped if I put a little more pressure on pedal it will slowly go to the floor. Fluid level is low but within limits. Is this serious or just need new pads??

When you have the tires and wheels for R&R take a look at the pads. Be sure to look at the inside pads not just he outside. If the caliper pins are sticking the inner pad will wear out faster. If pads are uneven wear, inner to outer, replace all before you need rotors. If any pads have deteriorated past the min and you have scars on the rotors. You will need to replace those too. If pads are good all around then your master cylinder may be the culprit.

Good luck, enjoy the new tires.
