17" tire options

What are you guys running in 17" tires, preferably in the 285/75 or 295/70 or thereabouts. I'm needing new tires soon and looking at the Nitto TG's but I want to see what everyone else is running. I'm just trying to cover my bases and make the best decision possible and get some other opinions.

The 295x70x17 is a good size (33.5x12x17) I have the Toyo MT but Nitto makes this size in a Terra Grappler and a Trail Grappler. No rubbing on a leveled 4x4 even with wider aftermarket wheels.

I'm running 295x70 terra grapplers on mine and have around 3000 miles on em. They look just as good as the day I got em very little noise and handle great!!! For the money you wont find a better at tire imo. Also do pretty good in mild offroading.I was surprised how deep the tread was when I got em too.

PawPaw, how's the ride on the Toyo's? How do they handle in the rain? With my aggressive style of driving I'm thinkin they're the wrong choice for me.

I'm running 285/75/17 (I think) FCII Cepek tires no rubbing issues at all. I was using my truck as a daily driver up until just recently when I got my Mustang...but tires run real good..

The ride comfort is great for a 10 ply mud tire. They handle better in the rain then I expected, an I do a lot of driving in the rain. For aggressive driving they would not be the best choice, maybe the Proxes model by Toyo.

Those won't work. I'm wanting an AT. I got a price of $1100 for 5 Nitto TG's. Probably wind up with those.

The terra grappler's are a good choice. They are made by Toyo and are close to the Toyo AT tread pattern. The terra grappler sidewall look's a little better to me then the Toyo AT does.

Yes I have, I've looked at pretty much every tire out there. I prefer to deal locally on purchases like this.

If your looking for an aggressive look with good road performance for a daily driver you can't go wrong with the **** Cepek Fun Country II's. Very nice tires with good all around performance.
