Newby tire/wheel/lift combos,2009 XLT 2WD

Hi All,
First post in here...so far loving this site for info.
I have a 2009 SCrew XLT 2WD w/ stock 255/65/17 wheels/tires.
Looking to upgrade the wheels & tires and possibly a little lift. Looking for some various combinations of wheel & tire sizes (and lift if applicable) that you all have gone to. Also, any pitfalls to look out for as far as combinations.

Thanks in advance for the help.

-Mike

I'd suggest adding a leveling kit and 32 or 33 inch tires on an 18 inch wheel.
Or better yet, a 6 inch lift and some 35's on 18 or 20 inch wheels.

Thanks Wandell.
I'm thinking the leveling kit/32's is going to be my path.
As for the tires...if I stick with the stock rims, anyone know if 265/70/17's will fit OK on them?

Also..and recommendations on leveling kits?

AutoSpring, or Hellbent, they are cheap on EBay and plenty of people are using them without problems. I have the 1.5" AS and I'm about dead level running 33.2" BFG's with no issues.

Yes, 265/70's would be a perfect fit.

The Tire Rack carries a lift from Truxxx that will raise the front 2" and rear 1". Pretty simple mount and easy to install.

I would go with 33's and 18" wheels myself. Think that would give it a good look.

Sorry to bump a thread, but is there anything else needed with that lift kit?

You will need a front end alignment after it's installation.
