Best way to remove rear rotor

I tried to remove my rear rotor the other day with no luck. What is the best way to remove? Any tricks?
Thank you.

Make sure your emergency brake is off.

On the back side of the rotor (not on the rotor) there is a little hole that you can back the emergency pads off in case they have worn deep into the inner rotor.

Sledge hammer - it works

Should be a no brainer. Sometimes a little WD40 and some tapping with a hammer can do the trick if its stuck on the center hub.

I had a little trouble removing my rear rotors and later found the E brake was slightly engaged. Dooh! I know better but was convinced it wasn't at the time. Lesson: Always best to double check!

I removed the rotors Saturday night. I had to adjust the e-brake shoes, PB blaster, & rubber mallet.
Thank you for the replies
