Brakes dragging after pad change...

I just finihsed putting new Wagner TQs on the front of my 2007 after about 40k on the stock pads. Followed the steps exactly, and have changed pads before on other vehicles. I took it around the neighborhood for 5 minutes to bed the pads in, did 5 stops from 30-10, then 5 more from 40-10. I brought it back to the driveway because I can hear the pads dragging. Rotors were too hot to touch. Should I be concerned? It seemed to be getting quieter as I went, but I could still hear them. Also, they were noisier than I expected when I would do my stops. Should I take it around for another 5 minutes and see if this goes away?

I would not worry about it. It normally takes about 100 miles to really get the pads bedded in and working properly. I always take it very easy for the 1st 100 miles and everything seems to work well. Little touchy for the first 30-50 normally. As long as the piston was not rusted and seemed to move free I would not worry about it you should be fine.

Thanks for the info. Just wasn't sure I should be hearing the brakes dragging after I put them on. Once I'm cleared to drive again ill take it for a spin and see if it goes away.
