Alright guys, after reading several threads and searching several different times on the forum, I need some help. I have a 2006 4x4XL. I ordered a 2.5 inch level for the front, nothing for the rear. I want to know how tall a tire I can run with the stock wheels. I've been looking at 285-75's and 295-70's. Will either of these clear? Let me know what you guys think. Its a 17in wheel by the way. ive been told you can clear a 35" tire with a 2.5 level kit as long as its 4wd. i just put 285/65/18 trail grapplers on mine with no level kit, and it doesnt rub. they are 33" Im gonna put on a 2" HBS next week.

 

35" tires will fit the truck with the 2.5" leveling kit. Its tight and you have to do a little trimming on the bottom of the front fender (not a big deal) but it fits pretty good. If you want to be safe go with 34" tire.

 

So, I'm good with either then. Glad to hear it. That being said, in the way of looks, which would ya'll have? I kind of like em' taller than fatter. What are your opinions?

 

Personally, with a leveling kit I think the best looking option is a 33 inch tire on an aftermarket wheel.
