Need Help (Wheels & Tires version)

Alright I am about to go all in and get rims, tires, and a 2 1/2" level kit. I drive 95% of the time on paved roads so looking at BFGs AT since I've had them in the past. But I would listen to arguments for a M/T style especially Nitto's Trail Grappler. Are M/Ts worth it for me? Functionality and wear lifte are more important than looks. I am thinking a 275/70/18 but will this look puny with the level?

Next, really need help on rims. I would love to get some XDs (18x9) but I have been in RimzOne and can't seem to find them in our 5x135 bolt pattern. I've looked at Monsters and the Hoss. Am I overlooking something because I know a ton of people on here have XDs (none where I live though)?

Lastly, I know this isn't the suspension section but does anybody have a recommendation for the level kit? I know they can be had on Ebay for $70 but are they good quality?

Thanks for all the input anybody can give me.

I've got a 1.5" level kit from ebay (AutoSpring) Quality seems fine, and I have 275/70/18's BFG's on my truck, have a look. I think they are the perfect sized tire for these F150's, they are a little heavier than stock though and you will notice that. Our bolt pattern is not 5 X 135 that might be why you are having trouble..they are 6X135. XD's are nice, I've really like the addicts but my factory rims are fine for me. Since you are on the highway 95% of the time, BFG ATs are about as aggressive as I would go for you, no need for a MT.

I have the trail grapplers 285/65/18 and xd monsters. Got them from rimzone, they look mean as hell and ride great. I love them. Also I do not have a leveling kit and they do not rub at all. Im going to put a 2" on though when I get the money, because it does look good leveled.

If your driving on the highway most of the time then the AT's will be the way to go. MT's will be much louder and wear faster. Not much benefit to you except that they look good. As far as the leveling kits go, there are many out there. On thing I found out on my 2004 FX4 was that with 70,000 miles on the truck it was way over due for shocks. I wanted to put the Bilsteins on it but Bilstein does not recommend using the the standard HD shock with a leveling kit. I already has the leveling kit on my truck when I bought it, so I ended up taking the kit out and installing the Bilsteins HD 5100 that have the lift built in to the front shocks. Best move I could have made. The truck rides great and I got a 3" lift on the front and already had the 1" block in the rear. Just a thought.

Well, that explains one thing. I had googled and kept on coming up with 5x135. I mean I knew I had a 6 lug wheel but I wasn't sure of myself to refute the 5x135.

And let me ask one more question about the rims. I know I can transfer my TPMS over from my stock rims but what do I need to do it?

And an update. I won't be going with the 275/70/18 because the max wheel size is 8.5 inches. No wonder they are cheaper than a 275/65/18.

Well if you are set on the 9" wide rims you can go with 285/65/18 but you are going to pay a little more each tire and loose a little in diameter (maybe like .5 of an inch). Pretty sure they can switch your TPMS sensors over to your new rims. Post up pics when you finally get set up curious to see the rims, might be something I will be looking for down the road.

Yeah, I think I am set on 18x9s. But haven't decided that it's worth the extra price of a 285/65 vs a stock 275/65 considering the height gain is only 0.5 inches.

I would go with the larger size tire. Not a huge difference but to me the more tire you can get in there the better it looks.
