Original plan didnt work out... now plan B

I was originaly going to go with a Mamba wheel, but it didnt work out. I found Eagle Alloy series 063 that I like.... My truck is a 2006 FX4 with 275/65/18 and was thinking of going to 20x9 offest +20 with backspacing 5.725 Websites show going with a 275/55/20 tire but can I fit 275/60/20. I have an AS 2inch level kit in the front. Was looking at Cooper Zeon LTZ as the tire.

That should be fine. Those tires convert to 33x10.8. There are a lot of people on here that run a 2in leveling kit with 33x12.5 MTs on XD Monsters that have a +18 offset and 5.71 backspacing. I'm running 295/70/18 (34.4x11.6) with a 2.5in leveling kit on XD Monsters (again similar offset and backspacing) and I only had to do minimal trimming. Bottom line, you should have plenty of room.

A 305/55-20 (33x12.50) tire will look much better.

It is also around $100 more per tire. That is the same thing I am looking at right now. I don't thing 1" wider is worth $100. It does look better though

To be honest, this kind of thinking means a LOT more money in the end. Bottom line: Get what you WANT, even if it means waiting a little. If you don't have the extra $400, earn it, save it, or sell off something cause in the end, you'll regret not getting what you really wanted just to save that $400 now. Wandell is right, the 12.5's will look tons better than the 10.8's on a 33x18.

Just my opinion, but whatever you decide, good luck to ya.

going from 275/65/18 to 305/55/20, will i need to do any trimming and will there be any rubbing with it being a little closer to the suspension? (I found a tire calculator online) Also I thought you have to stay within like 3% difference so that you wont mess up your gearing, is this true ?

I agree. Also, I don't see the reason to drop a ton of money and wind up with a look you don't like.
