stock rim tire size
so i know there are so many out there but i cant seem to get a straight answer. i have a 2" torsion crank and my gf is going to get me 3" coil spacers. and i will be in need of some new tires soon. but dont have the money for the 17s i want. so my stock 16s will have to do for now. what is the max tire size i can get with my stock rims? rubbing isnt really a big issue since im willing to do trimming. a lot if i have to. spacers if needed. would i be able to get a 35 on the rims?
those are my rims. i dont remember the size. 16x7.5 i think. if someone knows lemme know too please.

i have the 5.4. and stock gearing. i think 3.55. my friend has 35s with his 5.4 and stock gears. and he still gets better mileage then me. ive looked at 295/75 r16 and only bfg at or general at2. i wanna get away from bfg b/c they are pricey and not all that great. but i can fit 315s? okay ill look into those. and then when i get the rims i want ill just switch the tires.

if i can find some factory 17s that i like i might have more choices. but for now i think i can only stick with the 315s. i really want walker evans bead locks and gerneral grabbers. but thats like $2000+. dont have that much money right now. but even with some sort of after market 16 the tire wont fit even if i find one that will?

sorry. i lost my self there too. i ment. you said an aftermarket wheel wont fit the tire b/c of back spaceing and rim width. but even if i find a wheel that will fit will it work? like a cheap $100 pro comp 16x8 or 16x10 wheel. will it fit the 315 tire?

Maybe someone else can explain it clearer than what I am.

If you are not gonna lift the truck any higher, I'd go with a 33 inch tire. That way when you buy a wider aftermarket wheel they will still fit. If you install 35x12.50's (either 315/75-16 or 315/70-17) you will have to stick with OEM wheels or an aftermarket wheel with almost identical specs (like 8 inches wide with 4.5 or 5 inches of BS). And aftermarket wheels for our trucks are getting more and more scarce.

and i dont care how far they stick out. i just dont want a lot of rubbing. i dont care if i need to trim or buy fencer flares. i like the fiberglass "prerunner" flares. then again i am in san diego! haha
but thats future. o and 3 3/4 - 5. i couldnt remember i was at work on my phone. so thats why double response.
but for now im going to get the 315 on my stock wheels once i get the money and these tires wear out more. i still have life on them. and then later on get maybe some pro comp rims. like the black steel ones. not sure yet. i just want to know what my back spacing options are for the least amount of rubbing with the 315s right now before i get what i want in years to come.
