Caliper Grease

Is the caliper grease bought on the shelf in little packets at Oreilly the right stuff to lube the caliper slide bolts with?

I use dielectric greese. Slather it on the slide bolts and reinstall. It resists water and keeps them lubed for a good long time. I then keep the remaing in my tool box to apply to any electrical connections I happen to disconnect. It's wonderful stuff!

Yes! There are two different typs of those little packets - the caliper grease for the slides and the the quiet squeal (or whatever it's called) to apply to the back of the pads before installing in the caliper.

Actually not sure iof they're interchangeable or not. The squeal stops stuff gets tacky after it sets up (I think). You wouldn't want thaton the slides.

By far, this is the best stuff to use on the sliding caliper parts: http://www.amazon.com/Permatex-24125...4364050&sr=1-7
