TPMS 2007 sensors on 2010

Will Ford banded TPMS sensors from a 2007 Ford F150 XL (with 17"steel wheels) "learn' to my 2010 Ford F150 FX2 with 20" wheels (stem mounted TPMS)? or do i have to invest time going to my dealer....even if it is electronically possible.....

I use the 2007 steel 17" rims and sensors for snow tires on my 2010 2WD truck.

I did try the learn procedure, with no success (dropped the pressure down to 23psi... was that far enough?)

Any help is appreciated.....

The stem and band sensors are not interchangeable. The shop that I bought my rims and tires from mistakenly put the stem mounted sensors on my rims. My dealership tried to get them to work with my truck but according to them, the sensors use a different frequency and they are not interchangeable.
