Just ordered 22x9 harley rims. they are going on my 2.5 leveled 04 fx4. cant decide on the which tire is better. 285-50-22 or 305-45-22. I know Wandell runs the later and likes them which is why im leaning that way, but I thought maybe .4" taller and .4 narrower might clear better. or maybe it doesn't matter and I,m just over thinking this.

 

Tires for the 22's are gonna be pretty expensive.

 

Good question. What is the backspacin on the Harley wheels. The 305/45-45 is basically a 33x12.50 tire and should clear easily. What other offroad tire sizes are available betwen 33x12.50 and 35x12.50?

I think both size tires will fit fine with those wheels. I'm sure your selection of offroad tires will be pretty narrow. What tires are you looking at?

 

selection in the 285-55 super limited and very pricey. 305-45 much more cost effective. i think im leaning toward the good year fortera. I have 74964 miles on my current wranglers. maybe when these are worn out there will be more options in 22s. wish i could fit and afford 325-50.. that would make me very happy. Thanks
