07 Wheels and Tire Help

Hey, guys I just bought a 07 F150 Lariat and have a few questions.

The Factory Sticker states it came with 275/55 R20 Tires, which means 20” Wheels. I’ve verified this as a possibility through the website here, so I’m okay there. The problem is that the truck currently has 275/65R18 on it.

QUESTION: What will this do for my gas mileage and speed?

Next problem is that my TPMS light is always on. I’ve gone to the Ford Garage to have them check to see which one might be bad and they have said that NONE of the Wheels have the system installed!!!!! They want about $700.00 just for parts alone to install them.

I have a local guy with a set of 20” from a 2011 FX4 that has only 400 miles on them and might be interested in buying them.

QUESTION: What is a good price for such a set of tires?

QUESTION: Will the TPMS System on the 2011 20” Wheels work TPMS System on a 2007 Truck?

QUESTION: Will the 2011 Wheels bolt right onto the 2007 Truck?

QUESTION: What could I possibly get out of a Set of Ford 18” Wheels w/out the TPMS System?

Next problem is with the Power Sliding Glass Window in the Back. My rattles non-stop, what are some suggestions on how to stop that from happening.

Thanks
Ryan

Apparantly someone switched your OEM 20 inch wheels with a set of 18 inch wheels and didn't install the TPMS. I'm pretty sure the 2011 sensors are different and won't work with your truck's system. The dealer is the most expensive place to buy the OEM sensors and mounting bands. YOu can get them cheaper on EBay.

Correct. You need sensors from a 07 or 08. 09 up will not work. Ebay is one place to try. You might even price things out yourself at someplace like Tasca.

If the wheels you have still have the band and mount, then basically all you need are the sensors and the plastic inserts that hold them in. Bands themselves cannot be moved from wheel to wheel.

I have heard of valve stem mount sensors that will work with the 07-08, just don't know where to get them. There you would need the sensor and the valve stem.

The sensors are definatally not interchangeable. You will need the correct sensors for your truck along with the cradle and band. Tire Rack has them, sensor is $56, cradle is $10 and the strap is $15.
