Brake problem on 2010

My truck is a 2010 XLT SCrew with 30,400 miles on it. The brakes squeak and are already starting to shudder. Should this be a problem this early in the game? Will my warranty cover it?

as far as i know ford considers brakes a wear item and would not be covered under warranty unless something is causing the wear like a bad caliper (frozen slide, or stuck piston) i would replace the pads if they are down and machine the rotors if they have enough left on them

I figured so. I'm going to take it to the dealership on my day off and see what I can squeeze out of them.

with over 30K miles I doubt they will give you anything

Just buy some new pads and do it yourself... don't wait too long or the rotors will be trashed

What do you mean by shudder? It could be more then just a simple change of pads. I would defiantly take it to a shop or someone that can properly diagnose it. Brakes are one of the things I dont ignore, if i have a problem with em I dont disregard it. It could be a unevenly worn rotor, a warped rotor, stuck caliper, excess rust on back side of rotor causing runout, not enough grease on caliper pins, or just bad pads. Take it in as soon as you can so it gets properly diagnosed. Factory pads should last longer then 30,000 imo.
